LUGOFF – Funeral service for Scottie Wayne Butler, 18, will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorials Gardens. The Rev. Wesley Luke and the Rev. Annette Devane will officiate. Following the services, a dinner will be provided for family and friends at Elgin Congregational Holiness Church, 1331 Smyrna Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045. The family will receive friends Thursday 7-9 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Scottie went home to be with his heavenly father on Friday, September 13, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of Toby Wayne Butler and Sharolyn Colene Bowen Frost. He attended the Elgin Congregational Holiness Church and Elgin Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and most of all spending time with his family. Surviving are his son, Dakota Butler; girlfriend, Hannah Black; father, Toby Butler (Mickey Erickson); mother, Sharolyn Frost (Lee Trimnal); Brandon Frost; brother, Kolby Erickson; sisters, Kaytlin Frost, Madison Trimnal, Jordan Erickson and Kailee Butler; grandparents, Judy Hinson (Eugene Hinson), Carolyn Bowen and Colie Bowen; uncles, Waylon Ritch, Chad Bowen, and Michael “Chip” McCaw; and aunts, Rhonda Ritch and Carmen Bowen. He was predeceased by grandfather, LaVerne S. Butler; and aunt, Natalie McCaw.
