I just found out about Robbie a few months ago! I am so sorry Tracy! He was always so sweet to me and I love your family and hate that he was taken so young. I think of you all often and have missed being part of your wonderful family!

I'm so sorry for your loss, My deepest condolences to the family I worked with Robby for many years at Mancor. The suffering and pain that the family members are facing is beyond me. My heart and prayers goes out to you. I would like to share this scripture with you and hope that this will give you some comfort
Acts 24:15-16 And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. 16 Because of this I always strive to maintain a clear conscience before God and men. My Jehovah strengthen you during your time of bereavement.

Where do I start... My earliest memories all involve my brother. He and I played together as children and slept in the same room until he was in his teens. Robby put me back on bicycle a dozen or more times when he taught me to ride. The first football I caught...Robby threw it. The first baseball I hit... Robby pitched it. The first fish I caught... Robby was standing beside me at a little pond behind Uncle Myson's store. We learned to swim together at Pinewood State park and spent countless days swimming and fishing there. Robby and I have swam in every water hole in Sumter from 2nd Mill, Green Swamp, to Pocalla. Robby loved to catch fish of the pier in Surfside Beach. He was allergic to shrimp but would use shrimp and catch fish until his eyes swole shut. Robby was normally the LT or Major I reported to when we played army as boys. He ended up in the ROTC and had a strong desire to serve his country. His early life bout with a sickness that took his spleen made him ineligible. That said, Robby inspired me to join the military. His inspiration has shaped my life. Robby played high school football and was an outstanding Tight End at one of the largest schools in the State. He was actually the punter as well. I was on the "B" Team or younger team so I was on the same field when prating. That said, what stands out to me most about Robby and football is what I witnessed one day on the practice field. One day between drills I was just standing there resting and everyone got an ear full. Coach Lewis was on one of his rants. He was screaming and yelling at the guys on the field about playing until the whistle blows. That was followed by, "Robby does it." "He outworks all of you every day" and then said, "I just need 11 Robbys that want to play ball." Robby wasn't the typical older brother. He never shunned me because I was too young to hang around with him or his friends. All Robby's friends became mine. From my first beer to the music I listen to today... Robby had a hand in it. All my friends liked country music... I liked it, but its not really what I listen to. I'm a Classic Rock guy and that has Robby written all over it. When I first joined the military, I would come home every weekend I had a chance. Robby's house was normally where I ended up. Admittedly, over the past 20 years I wish I would have made it home more and spent more time with him. Robby was a great man... The best brother anyone could ever want... He was the father every father should be... He was kind to a fault... Words alone can't describe how much Robby will be missed. It stirs a heart wrenching pain that leaves you speechless and cringing. Solace beyond pain is knowing he is in Paradise.

I had the honor of being a part of honoring our volunteer fireman at Pine Grove Baptist Church in February. I spoke with Rob that night told him I was praying for his family. He was a great father and husband, a godly man. He will be missed. Prayers for his family as they go through this time. May they find comfort knowing he and they are loved and he is worshiping with he Lord and we will see him soon.
