Obituary of Annie L. Hawkins

CAMDEN- Annie L. Hawkins, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019 in The Sam A. Karesh Wing of KershawHealth.

    Mrs. Hawkins, wife of the late WW “Bill” Hawkins, was born on January 24, 1930 in South Carolina to the late Julius Inman and Ethel Terrel Lynch. Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Camden First Baptist Church. She was an owner of Hawk Aviation with her husband Bill. She was the secretary of the S.C. Breakfast Club for 30 years.

    Surviving are her children, Debra Leach Kelly of Camden, Robert I. Leach (Dare) of John’s Island, S.C., grandchildren, Jonna K Stougstad of El Paso, TX, Joshua B. Kelly of Lugoff, Ally Harding (Theo) of Charleston, Robert I. Leach, Jr. of Charleston, John M Leach II of GA, Trey Kelly of Cummings, GA; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John M. Leach, Sr.

     Services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Karesh Wing and Staff for taking great care of Mrs. Hawkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sam A Karesh Wing of KershawHealth.
