Obituary of Betty Small

BETHUNE – Funeral service for Betty Elizabeth Mangum Small, 71, will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Shamrock Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Jackie Knight will officiate.  The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will also receive friends at Wesley and Kim Small's residence, 1193 Antioch Church Road, Jefferson, S.C. on Friday 11am-3pm and following the service on Saturday.

    Mrs. Small, wife of the late Olin Small, passed away at KershawHealth on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Charlie W. and Mary Kathleen Brannon Mangum.  She retired from Hermitage Cotton Mill and was a member of Shamrock Baptist Church.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the mountains and making crafts.

    Surviving are her children, Debbie Reeves (Chris) of Bethune, Wesley Small (Kim) of Jefferson and Michelle Pate (Kenny) of Cassatt; brother, Christopher Mangum; 16 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and her dog, “Max”.  She was predeceased by daughter, Paula Osment Small; sister, Kathy Baskins; and brothers, Charlie William “Billy” Mangum, Jr., James Earl Mangum and Donnie English Mangum.
