Obituary of John "BoBo" Jackson, Sr.

BISHOPVILLE – A funeral service for John Robert “BoBo” Jackson, Sr., 66, will be held on Saturday, Feb 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Mizpah Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Mr. Jackson passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at KershawHealth. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late John Belton and Ruby Catoe Jackson.  He retired from DuPont and was a carpenter.  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and was an avid Clemson fan.

    Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Jackson McKay; son, John Robert Jackson, Jr.  (Dorothy); sisters, Brenda Elliott and Beverly Ray (Joe Roscoe); brothers, Steve Jackson (Brenda) and Randy Jackson (Wendy); and grandchildren, Jackson Quade McKay (Hannah), Robert Daniel Garner, John Kaleb Jackson, Erin Briana Jackson, and R.B. Baker.  He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Hood Elliott.
