Obituary of Mandy S. Jeffers

ELGIN – Funeral service for Mandy Shanell Jeffers, 33, will be held on Saturday, Feb 9, at 11:00 a.m. Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sawneys Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate.  The family will receive friends Saturday 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

    Miss. Jeffers passed away at home on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of Laverne Reginald Jeffers Jr. and Pamela Jean Newman Jeffers.  She enjoyed cake decorating, drawing, painting, dancing and fishing.

    Surviving are her father, Laverne R. Jeffers Jr. (Nicole) of Elgin; mother, Pamela N. Jeffers (Jerry) of Columbia; daughter, Tyanna Tucker; sisters, Cassy Jeffers, Haley Smith and Kelsey Murphy (Ray); paternal grandparents, Laverne R. “Buddy” Jeffers, Sr. of Elgin and Jannie Esther Jeffers of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Larry E. Newman, Sr. (Patricia) of Newberry; step-brothers, Jerry Smith and Chris Smith; and numerous, aunts, uncle and cousins.  She was predeceased by paternal step-grandmother, Sandra Jeffers; and maternal grandmother, Sarah B. Newman.
