Obituary of Lawrence M. Myers, Jr.

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Lawrence Matthew “Sunny” Myers, Jr., 75, will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Burch Kelly will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the Kershaw County Board of Disabilities.

    Mr. Myers passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019.  Born in Rock Hill, he was the son of the late Lawrence M. Myers Sr. and Irene Gainey Myers.  He was a member of Ray of Hope Church and enjoyed singing, coloring and playing with children.  His greatest joy was being with his family who loved and nurtured him unconditionally.

    Surviving are his brothers, Jacky R. Myers and Ronnie L. Myers (Sandra); and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, Carmel F. Myers and J.C. Myers; and sisters, Kay M. Myers, Myrtle Galloway and Patsy G. Hasty.
