Obituary of Doris I Goude

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Doris Inez Goude, 87, will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Outreach Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery, Camden,  The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Christian Outreach Church Building Fund.

    Ms. Goude passed away at home on Saturday, January 26, 2019.  Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late James Murray and Rena Jolly Goude.  She retired from Hermitage Cotton Mill and was a member of New Life Christian Outreach Church.  She cared for children in her home for 12 years.  She enjoyed reading, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and The Price is Right.

    Surviving are her daughter, Patty Rogers (Wayne) of Lugoff; brothers, Sam Goude (Cora) and Don Goude (Darlyn); sisters, Frances Hewitt and Betty Jane Proctor; grandchildren, Brad Rogers (Kendall) of Lexington and Brent Rogers (Meg) of Holly Hill; and great-grandchildren, Berkeley Rogers and Margo Rogers.  She was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Blackwell, Alice Moore, Geraldine Copeland; brothers, James Goude, Tom Goude and George Goude; and great-granddaughter, Laura Inez Rogers.

   The family extends a special thanks to KershawHealth hospice especially Stephanie Greenway and Martha Horton for their loving care.
