Obituary of Juanita H. Willoughby

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Juanita Hodges Willoughby, 88, will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.  The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate.     Mrs. Willoughby, wife of the late Ernest Linwood Willoughby, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  Born in Baker County, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Lancie Joshua and Edna Beaulah Lauramore Hodges.  She was a member of Springvale Baptist Church and served with Campers on Mission for many years.

    Surviving are her daughters, Linda Willoughby of Lugoff and Patricia Vanderspiegel (Albert) of Beaufort; sons, Larry Willoughby (Jessie) of Alabama and Keith Willoughby (Robin) of Lugoff; step-son, Ernest Thomas Willoughby (Mary Lou); brothers, Willard Hodges and Lancie Joshua Hodges Jr.; sister, Loretta Hodges McTyre; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by sisters, Lillian Hodges and Edna Caroline Hodges; and brother, Oscar Henry Hodges.
