Obituary of Charles Russell Donahue, Sr.

ELGIN – A funeral service for Charles Russell “Rod” Donahue, Sr., 55, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Mr. Donahue passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019. Born in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Joe David Donahue, Jr. and Bessie Lee Benton Donahue. Mr. Donahue enjoyed being in the outdoors.

    Surviving are his wife, Sue Pittman Donahue of Elgin; sons, Charles Russell Donahue, Jr. and Austin Lee Donahue both of Elgin; a significant other, Ronnie B. Snyder of the home; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. He was predeceased by sisters, Louise Donahue, Dorothy Mills; and brothers, Joe Donahue III, James Donahue, Louis Donahue, Ronald Donahue and David Donahue.
