Obituary of Jeanette Brown Rabon

CASSATT – Funeral service for Jeanette Brown Rabon, 99, will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Springvale Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate.  The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  Memorials may be made to Springvale Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Rabon, wife of the late Charles Tillman Rabon, Sr., passed away at Southwinds Assisted Living on Sunday, January 20, 2019.  Born in Ashwood Community of Lee County, she was the daughter of the late Tommie Davis and Mattie Dority Brown.  She was a member of Springvale Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening and camping.

    Surviving are her children, Virgil Rabon (Betty) of West Columbia, Virginia Atkinson (Rev. Marion) of Cassatt and C.T. Rabon Jr. (Marie) of Lugoff; 6 grandchildren, Scott Rabon, Wayne Rabon, Ricky Atkinson, Samuel Atkinson, Teresa Barfield and Tonya Rabon; 6 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Owens; brothers, Levi Brown, Bubba Brown and Clint Brown; and sisters, Lillie Corbett, Lottie Boykin and Dora Lee Smith.
