GASTON - Ronald Chrestler Sr., 51, died in his home in Gaston, SC on January 3rd, 2008. Mr. Chrestler was born on December 9th 1956 in Las Vegas, NV. He is pre-deceased by his father William Chrestler, NY and sister Mary Margaret Chrestler, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Chrestler of Elgin, SC, daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Rick Bell of Elgin, S.C.; son Ronald Chrestler Jr. of Albany, N.Y., brothers, William Chrestler and Ken Chrestler of N.Y., Steve Chrestler of Pa., Harry Chrestler of Wash.; sister, Judy Chrestler Iverson of Pa.; and granddaughters, Kaitlyn Bell of Conway, S.C. and Madelyn Bell of Elgin, S.C. He attended Seacoast Church and was an avid fisherman, golfer, and a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions fan. Funeral services for Ronald Chrestler will be held at Powers Funeral Home on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation following until 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to be made to the Ronald Chrestler Memorial Fund, located at Carolina First, 10000 Two Notch Rd., Columbia, SC 29223.
