Obituary of Tommy Anderson
ELGIN – A service to celebrate the life of Charles Thomas “Tommy” Anderson, 76, will be held on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, N.Y. 10001 or Women’s Ministry of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2290 Heath Pond Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045.
Mr. Anderson passed away at home on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late William Amos and Ruth Bradley Anderson. He retired from Kershaw County School District and enjoyed stock car racing. He was a faithful member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Jeanette Moak “Curl” Anderson; daughter, Lynn Anderson Williams (Mark) of Lugoff; sisters, Kathy Bradshaw (David) and Becky Stokes (Harold); brother, Hazel Anderson; and grandchildren, Katie, Blake and Amelia. He was predeceased by sisters, Gay Anderson, Fay Anderson and Doris Langley; and brother, William Anderson.
