Obituary of Kenneth Thaine Kelly
LUGOFF – A memorial service for Kenneth Thaine Kelly, 75, will be held on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
Mr. Kelly passed away at home on Monday, December 24, 2018. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Dewey James and Annie Branham Kelly. He served in the South Carolina National Guard and retired from Fluor Daniels. Following his retirement, he started his own business, Kelly Construction.
Mr. Kelly was a master gardener, an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a hardworking, simple man. He will be greatly missed and leaves a big void.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Spivey Kelly; daughter, Patricia Spradley (Bryan) of Elgin; son, Ken Kelly of Lugoff; sister, Gloria Tidwell of Lugoff; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Willie Kelly, Curtis Kelly and Doc Kelly.
