Obituary of Bernice Currie Debruhl
CASSATT – A graveside service for Bernice Currie Debruhl, 85, will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Stott will officiate.
Mrs. Debruhl, wife of the late Rev. Pete Debruhl, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late William Calvin Currie and Virginia Ruth Drawdy Currie. Mrs. Debruhl served with her husband at Beaverdam Baptist, Harmony Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Socastee Baptist, Oakey Swamp Baptist, and Galivants Ferry Baptist as a pastor’s wife.
Surviving are her children, Donna Bridwell (Tony) of Abbeville; Robin Causey (Albert) of Horry County; daughter-in-law, Patsy Debruhl; grandchildren, Mark Compton (Rhonda), Anna Feagin, Bobbie Wiggins (Chad), Kimberly Causey, Bert Causey, Clint Causey, Amy Elvis; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by children, Randy Debruhl, Kimberly Debruhl; granddaughter, Judith Causey; and siblings, Marion Outlaw and Wayne Currie.
Mrs. Debruhl would want to let everyone know, “when the Lord works it out, it’s worked out right because He knows what He’s doing.”
