Obituary of Marion Douglas Rabon, Sr.

REMBERT – A celebration of life service for Marion Douglas Rabon, Sr., 70, will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00-6:30 p.m.

    Mr. Rabon passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born in Bishopville, he was a son of the late Loyd Elton and Frances Wright Rabon. Mr. Rabon enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially spending time with his family.
    Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Judy Reynolds Rabon; children, Marion “Dougie” Rabon, Jr. (Trina) of Rembert, Timothy Rabon (Lezli) of Lugoff, Tammy Rabon (Tommy Barwick) of Bishopville, Savannah Starling (Tyler) of Elgin, MacKenzie Corder of Columbia; siblings, Cecil Rabon (Vickie) of Sumter, William Wayne Rabon of Cassatt, Barbara Ann Jones (Monty) of Cassatt, Carolyn Hinson (Fronice “Bubba”) of Camden, Patricia Stokes (Mark) of Antioch, Brenda Poteat of Elgin; grandchildren, Katherine Poeta (Charlie), Elliott Rabon, Emalie Kate Rabon, Madison Leighanna Rabon, Steven Tyler McElveen (Ashley Hill), Freddie Littau, Angela Littau, Amanda Moody, Alissa Moody; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
