This wonderful lady was my neighbor for several years. She took me in as her adopted granddaughter. We spent alot of time together reading late into the night, doing crafts, watering flowers, feeding the birds, playing with her dogs. We watched Steve Irwin wrestle with Crocodiles and Olympic ceremonies. Did geneology on dial up. Beat who wants to be a millionare on her computer. At Christmastime we made orange balls and fudge. I love you grandma oliver

Randy, Janet and family, I just learned that Ms. Ella had gone to be with Jesus. I am so sorry for your loss. I love Ms Ella. She and my mom, Sue, were best friends. I have struggled since the loss of my mother and I have had some health issues. I have been out of touch for quite some time. That’s why I didn’t know that Ms Ella had gone on to glory. Many days my mother, daughter and I would go visit with her and anytime I went to Camden or Lugoff I would take her lunch. She loved sub sandwiches from Substation II and she loved either a milkshake, ice cream or a great big fresh fruit slush from Sonic. Ms Ella and I did a lot of crafts together. We traded supplies. Oh how she loved Christmas! I have never known anyone that had so many Christmas decorations and would take the time to do all that decorating. She looked forward to the grandchildren helping her. And how she loved cooking and preparing a big Christmas dinner for her family. Ms. Ella loved her children so much. She had some intense regrets and never thought that she could make up for them. We prayed and cried together. Yes, she loved the Lord. I know that y’all find comfort that she is in heaven. I pray that you all have the peace and comfort that only God can give. Susie Grimm

I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."
