CAMDEN – A service to celebrate the life of Joline Davis McIlwain, 83, will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Everett Reconnu will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation.
Mrs. McIlwain, wife of the late Erscin McIlwain, passed away Tuesday, December 04, 2018. Born in Bishopville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late George and Hettie Davis of Ashwood, SC. Her greatest love on earth was spending time with her family. She gave her all to make sure everyone in her life was happy and took care of everyone. She loved to travel, eat out, bowl and go shopping with friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her dear friend from childhood, Daynie Tiffany.
Surviving are her sons, Tommie E. McIlwain (Sharon), Billy McIlwain; daughters, Denise Williams (Roy Parsons), Debbie Kelly (Marty); grandchildren, Jerry Lee “Bubba” Trimnal, Jr., Allison Gomez (Lucio), Ashley Gardner (Adam), Amy McIlwain, Tommie E. “Mack” McIlwain, Jr., Kyle McIlwain, Kayla McIlwain; great-grandchildren, Shaylan McDonald, Landon Gomez, Javier Gomez, Miguel Gomez, Zuly Gomez, Laci Morrow, Cameron Morrow, Ashlyn Goff, Kane Gardner, Rylan Gardner, Peyton Gardner, Colby Gardner, Madison Trimnal, Hailey Trimnal, Dominick McIlwain, Jayla McIlwain, Amiya McIlwain, Jordin Hipps; and a dear niece, Kathy Barnes. She was predeceased by a son, Gary McIlwain; and sisters, Betty Griswold, Sara Davis and Vida Ree Boykin.
