Obituary of Maureen Huggins

CAMDEN – A memorial service for Maureen Huggins will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Hermitage Baptist Church, 814 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Camden, S.C. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service in the Family Life Center. The Rev. Mark Hopkins will officiate. Donations can be made to Hermitage Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

    Mrs. Huggins passed away at the age of 85 on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Palmetto Health Baptist. Born in the Statesboro Community of Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jesse Horton and Mary Florence Brown Horton.

    She was first married to the late Jack W. Harper, then to the late Carl E. Huggins, Sr. Mrs. Huggins is survived by her daughters, Angelia H. Norris and Linda J. Harper (Eddie Peebles); sons, Milton Harper (Lucinda), Clinton Harper (Vicky) and Dale Harper; sister, Marjorie H. Jumper of Sandy Run; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
