Obituary of Joicey M. Olson

LUGOFF, S.C. – A funeral service for Joicey M. Olson, 96, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Lugoff First Baptist Church, S.C. The Rev. Doug Huntsinger and the Rev. Greg Sweet will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon’s International or Lugoff First Baptist Church Deacon’s Fund.

    Mrs. Olson, wife of the late Arthur L. Olson, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Born in Lakewood, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Raymond Johnson and Florence Gifford Johnson. Mrs. Olson was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church.

    Surviving are her children, David Olson of La Luz, N.M., Daniel Olson of Dewittsville, N.Y., Crystal Olson of Scotts Valley, CA, Cynthia Olson of Columbia; a sister, Carol Olsen of Jamestown, N.Y.; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Johnson.
