Obituary of Shellie Davis, Jr.

CASSATT – Funeral service for Shellie “Junior” Davis, Jr., 61, will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

    Mr. Davis passed away at KershawHealth on Friday, November 16, 2018. Born in Kershaw County, He was the son of Ottie Geneva Horton Davis and the late Shellie Davis.  He was employed with Weylchem and a member of DeKalb Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, golf, hunting and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

    Surviving are his mother, Geneva Davis of Kershaw; son, Gregory O. Davis his spouse Tracey; daughter, Jamie Brown her spouse Dale Stewart; sisters, Jackie Hopkins her spouse Russell and Shirley Stewart her spouse Chuck; brother, Ricky Davis; 5 grandchildren, Dalton Davis, Bryson Davis, Jared Railey, Brendon Railey, Gabriella Railey; and 1 great-grandchild, Peyton Railey.  He was predeceased by his father, Shellie Davis; and a brother, Donnie Davis.
