Obituary of Ann Boan

BETHUNE – Funeral service for Barbara Ann Boan, 65, will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Steve Henson and the Rev. David Caulder will officiate.  The family will receive friends Sunday 3-5 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, PO Box 42, Bethune, S.C.  29009. 

    Mrs. Boan passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018.  Born in Darlington County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond C. Melton and Lula Mae Steen Melton.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a devoted wife mother and grandmother.

    Surviving are her husband, Gerald Wayne Boan; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and David Caulder of Camden; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Amy “Micki” Boan of Bluffton, S.C.; sister, Carolyn Rollings; brother, Roger Dale Melton; and 5 grandchildren.  She was predeceased by brothers, Henry Melton, Ronnie Lee Melton, Charles Lee Melton and Ray Melton.
