Obituary of Bonnie Mae Baker
Camden – Funeral services for Bonnie Mae Pate Baker, 87, will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baker passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born in Darlington, SC, on August 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late G. M. Pate and Bonnie Flowers Pate and she was raised by parents George and Ruth Flowers. She grew up in Ashwood and married the late, Wilburn Baker, in 1949. She worked for Skyline Manufacturing for 27 years. Mrs. Baker was a loving mother and friend. She loved to work with flowers and crocheting, as long as she was able.
Surviving are her children, Sara Ruth Vaughn (Robert), George Michael Baker (Cheryl), Wilburn Bruce Baker and Ronald Keith Baker; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; sister, Frances McLeod (Huey); and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Louise Johnson, Dale Skinner, Dorothy Rogers and Edward Flowers.
