Obituary of Alma Jean Morris

LUGOFF – A graveside service for Alma Jean Morris, 80, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Carmen Humbert will officiate.

    Ms. Morris passed away Friday, November 9, 2018. Born in St. Stephens, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie W. Brassell and Esther Mitchum Brassell. Ms. Morris enjoyed cooking and gardening.

    Surviving are her daughter, Jeri L Phillips of Lugoff; son, S. Warren Morris (Paula) of Elgin; brother, Wade Brassell (Rita) of Lugoff;  grandchildren, Jeffrey Phillips, Jr. (Krista), Kristy Morris, Ashly Morris, Brandon Morris; and  great-grandchildren, Ryder, Lennox and Dawson Phillips. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Phillips, Sr.; and 9 brothers and sisters.
