We were so sorry to read the news in the Fort Sumner paper. Mary Pat was always so kind, sweet and beautiful, as you well know! She just stood out, but did not let her beauty go to her head! We visited with her when she was here to recognize the class of 1950 at our ex student reunion. I am from the class of '54, so we all really looked up to her! Bob is class of '46 and remembers her fondly. I know you have many great memories and that you also know she is with the Lord.

My deepest sympathies go to the entire Hawkey family. Mrs. Hawkey was such a strikingly beautiful woman with an enormous heart, full of love and kindness. She almost like a second mom to me growing up, always happy to me. She will be deeply missed by all.
