Obituary of Barbara Hobbs

CAMDEN – A celebration of life service for Barbara J. Hobbs, 74, will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Fostering Fosters Animal Rescue.

    Mrs. Hobbs passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018.  Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Edna Ricketts Wright.  She retired from the Kershaw County Magistrate Court where she was the Jury Clerk.  Her happy place was working in her garden and pond with her recently adopted Boykin, “Bella”.  She also enjoyed crafts, jewelry making and golf.

    Surviving are her husband, Colin Charles Hobbs; Tonia Boling (John Paul) of Camden, Bonnie Hale (Dwight) of Camden, and Michael Hobbs of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sister, Brenda Jean Pontius (James); brother, Raymond H. Wright, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
