CAMDEN – A celebration of life service for Patricia Ann Harvey, 64, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Ogburn will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Fire Department at 1617 Bishopville Highway, Camden, SC 29020, or a charity of one’s choice. Mrs. Harvey passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Theophilus Pennington and Eleanor Clark Cobia. Mrs. Harvey enjoyed gardening, cooking, and crafts, especially sewing, and taking care of her beloved dogs, Odie and Dolly. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, George E. Harvey; daughters, Carolyn Harvey of Camden, Donna Moore (Paul) of Beaufort; grandchildren, Ben Hinson, Chris Hinson, Harrison Moore, Anna Moore; great-grandchild, Savannah Hinson; and brothers, Bruce Cobia, and Burt Cobia. She was predeceased by a daughter, Georgia Anne Hinson; and a sister, Florence Russell. The family would like to acknowledge with gratitude the services provided to Mrs. Harvey by her loving neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carraway, Mr. and Mrs. Joel Miles, and Mrs. Maggie Eckert; Dr. Leland McElveen and the staff of KershawHealth Oncology Department; Mr. Jim Raab of KershawHealth Hospice; and the Antioch Fire Department.
