Obituary of Richard Donald Huggins, Jr.

LUGOFF- Richard Donald Huggins, Jr. died at his home in Lugoff on Saturday, October 13. He was born in Charleston, SC and grew up in the Charleston and Andersonville, Tennessee areas.  He was a resident of Lugoff, and worked at Palmetto Richland Hospital.

    Donald graduated from Anderson County High School in Clinton, Tennessee.  After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps he returned to the central South Carolina area and attended Orangeburg Technical College in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

He is the son of Janet Almond Huggins and Richard Donald Huggins, Sr. (deceased). Donald was the proud father of Holden Capers Huggins and Ella Grae Huggins.  His sister, Jessica Huggins and niece Brenna live in Lugoff, and his brother, Christopher Celiz (deceased), sister-in-law Katherine Celiz, and niece Shannon reside in Savannah, Georgia.  Donald also leaves numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout the Southeast.

    Donald brought joy to anyone who knew him, and he greatly loved his children, family, friends, and nature.

    A memorial service in honor of Donald Huggins will be held on Saturday, November 3 at 3:00 pm at Northeast Church Columbia, 745 Old Clemson Road, Columbia, SC.
