Obituary of Charlotte Brown

CAMDEN – Funeral Services for Charlotte Brown, 94, will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Joshua Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. E.L. Sanders will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Brown, wife of the late John D. Brown, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018. Born in Kinston, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Jacob Fassett Middleton and Bessie L. Graham Middleton. Mrs. Brown was a member of Mt. Joshua Missionary Baptist Church, where she was the oldest mother, and served on the choir and as a missionary. She enjoyed traveling.

    Surviving are her son, Johnny Middleton (Ladell) of Camden; and grandchildren, Tykeeme Massey, Taniya Middleton, Priscilla Middleton, Olivia Middleton, and Marquies Jenkins. She was predeceased by siblings, Emma Lou Williams, Lillie Boyd “L.B.” Middleton, Willie Lee “Bill” Middleton, James Fassett Middleton, and Beatrice Smith.
