Obituary of Sandra Goff Jones

ELGIN – A service to celebrate the life of Sandra Jean Goff Jones, 74, will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Blaney Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The Rev. Jacob Helsley and the Rev. Phillip Blankenship will officiate.  The family will receive friends Sunday 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Blaney Baptist Church Choir Fund, P.O. Box 305, Elgin S.C.  29045.

    Mrs. Jones passed away at home on Thursday, September 20, 2018.  Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Otis and Evelyn Pearl Motley Goff.  She retired from Kershaw County Medical Center where she was the secretary to the hospital CEO.  She was a faithful member of Blaney Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Washington Edward Jones; daughter, Tanya Jones Sawyers (Clay) of Stuart, VA; son, Ryan Edward Jones (Karen) of Leesburg, VA; brother, Byron Goff (Ruby) of Elgin; sister-in-law, Bonnie Thomas (Tommy) of Gaston; and grandchildren, McCray Sawyers, Martin Sawyers, Sophia Jones, Devon Jones, and Charlotte Jones.
