CAMDEN – Funeral service for Frances Delores Disher Osteen, 67, will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Cameron and the Rev. Derrick Proctor will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Life Christian Outreach Church Building Fund, 313 Thrush Lane, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mrs. Osteen died Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Born in Sumter County, she was the daughter of the late Lory M. Disher, Jr. and Lillie Mae Wallace Disher. She retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles and was a member of New Life Christian Outreach Church. She enjoyed shopping and gardening. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Rudolph Osteen, Sr.; sons, Rudolph “Rudy” Osteen, Jr. (Sandra) of Columbia and Anthony Wayne “Tony” Osteen (fiancé, Anita Branham) of Camden; daughter, Rhoda L. Proctor (Derrick) of Lugoff; brothers, Jimmy Disher, Terry Disher (Cindy), Ronnie Ray Disher (Kat), and Gene Disher (Jennifer); sister, Joann Rabon (James); and grandchildren, Jonathan Van Ness Proctor (Heather), Brice Nicholas Proctor, Kimberly Megan Proctor, Kayla Akiva Osteen, Lindsey Alexis Osteen, and Preston Wayne Osteen. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Sue Boykin.
