ELGIN – Funeral service for Robert D. Brown, Sr., 76, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial to follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Brown, husband of the late Sandra Kay Brown, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Born in Cayce, he was the son of the late Marion Carl and Mamie S. Capell Brown. He served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are his sons, Robert D. Brown Jr. (Kathy), Faron Brown, Darin Brown (Cynthia) and Brent Brown (Tammy); daughters, Sherry Fox, Paula Rampey (Kyle); brother, Kenneth Brown; sisters, Patricia Dent, Margaret Bozardt, and Gloria Shrieve; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Marion Carl Brown Jr. and William Brown.
