Obituary of Faye W. Collins

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Faye Weaver Collins, 78, affectionately known as “Momma Faye” will be held Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Stines and the Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to El-Bethel Faith Community Church, 905 Longtown Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078 or Agape Hospice, 1700 West DeKalb Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Collins died Sunday, August 26, 2012. Born in Florence, she was the daughter of the late Perry M. and Hannah Pha Holloman Weaver. She was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and singing. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Garland D. Collins; sons, CMSgt (Ret’d) Don G. Collins (Trudy) of Fredericksburg, Va. And Dexter R. Collins (Betty) of Lexington; daughter, Nancy Collins of Lugoff; sisters, Jessie L. Smith of Hattisburg, Miss., Marie A. McCormick of Eastover, and Brenda D. Klicka of Cayce; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Dargan J. Weaver.
