ELGIN – Graveside service for Marilyn Winona Altman, 80, will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mrs. Altman, wife of the late J.R. Altman, died Friday, August 24, 2012. Born in Appling County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Ina Jane Heath Wasdin. She was a homemaker who lovingly cared for her family. Surviving are her daughters, Jane A. Perry of Elgin, Ann Evans (Jerry) of Conway, and Sharon Cooper (Randy) of Lugoff; son, Victor Altman of East Point, Fla.; grandchildren, Jared Altman, Heath Cooper, and Sydney Altman; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey Altman. She was predeceased by sisters, Verlin Wasdin, Carolyn Purcell, and Sue Wasdin.
