COLUMBIA – A celebration of life service for Thomas Allen Wing, 66, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Tony Rowell will officiate. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Wing died Monday, October 15, 2012. Born in Worthington, MN, he was the son of Madonna L. Shannon Wing and the late Eugene Merritt Wing. He was a member of Windsor United Methodist Church, and enjoyed hunting, golfing, motorcycling, and sky diving. Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Sharon Erickson Wing; sons, Eric Wing (Holley Mencarelli) of Irmo, Jason Wing (Holley Munnerlyn) of Columbia; grandchildren, Caleb, Brittany, and Aaron Wing; brothers, James Wing(Lila), Stephen Wing (Mary); sisters, Patricia Sanders, and Elizabeth Baumgard (Jay). He was predeceased by a son, Aaron Wing; sisters, Donna Jean Wing, Margaret Wing, and sister-in-law, Elinda Wing.
