LUGOFF – Funeral service for Brenda Mae Hudson Burris, 68, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Sweet will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Burris, wife of the late Lonnie Burris Jr., died Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Born in Highpoint, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lola Snider Hudson. She was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. Surviving are her daughters, Dawn Fuller (Jeff) of Elgin, Jackie Burris of Lugoff; son, Lonnie Burris III (Cheri) of Elgin; step-daughter, Sharon Ridgeway of Manning; brother, Art Hudson; sisters, Barbra Snyder, Kim Zirkle, Teresa McCrea, Jeanette Barr; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, parents, and son, Johnny Burris.
