CAMDEN – Funeral services for Mary Eloise Robinson Bourgette, 86, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Hermitage Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Mark Hopkins will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Hermitage Baptist Church, 814 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Bourgette, wife of the late Edward Bourgette, died Thursday, August 08, 2013. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Willie “Buck” and Ida Mae Holley Robinson. She served in the United States Air Force. Mrs. Bourgette served the community in many capacities to include, United Way, Kershaw County Council on Aging and as a dedicated caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Vinson (Doug) of Camden, Beth Fields (Craig) of Camden, Patty Creel (Larry) of Lugoff, Kim Kelly (Sam) of Elgin, and Jeaneanne B. Williams of Fitzgerald, Ga.; sister, Libby Elseth of Martinez, Ga.; brother, Bobby Robinson of Sumter; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, James Robinson and Billy Robinson. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the Karesh Long Term Care staff, for many years of dedicated care and love.
