MYRTLE BEACH – Funeral service for Anthony John Akshar, 25, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Anthony died Sunday, May 6, 2012. Born in Wayne, N.J., he was a son of Gregory Elias Akshar and Dottie Ann Hathaway Akshar. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, the beach and working on cars. Spending time with his children is what he loved most. Surviving are his father, Gregory Akshar of Lugoff; mother, Dottie Akshar of Elgin; children, Lyric Maddison Akshar and Jaxon Elias Akshar; brothers, Joseph Anthony Akshar (Jennifer Ann), Jason Elias Akshar, and Gregory Elias Akshar, Jr. (Katie Ann); sisters, Christina Marie Akshar and Dorothy Ann Akshar; and maternal grandmother, Joyce Elaine Krell (Jacob Jason).
