CAMDEN – Funeral service for Michael Stephen Williams, Sr., 59, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at St. Matthews United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Williams died Sunday, August 4, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Heyward and Alvilda Louise Carter Williams. He enjoyed working, fishing, telling jokes and making people laugh. Surviving are his wife, Loretta Jane Green Williams; daughters, Lavell Finley and Kieontay Williams; son, Michael Williams, Jr.; sisters, Mary H. Carter, Dianne Williams and Sandra Dawson; brother, Calvin Williams; step-brothers and sisters, Heyward Williams, Jr., Mary Alice Skinner, Betty McFarland, Barbara Stratford, Marion Skinner, Samuel Williams, Hazel Williams, James Williams and John Williams; and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Williams; and step-brother, Johnny Wendell Williams, Sr.
