ELGIN - Funeral services for Andrew Dave “A.D.” Goff, 78, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Miles and Rev. George Cashwell will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Highway Pentecostal Holiness Adult Sunday School Class, 2290 Heath Pond Road, Elgin, S.C. 29045 or the Walter Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 Fair Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Goff died Monday, April 02, 2012. Born in Blaney, SC, on August 13, 1933, he was the son of the late James Boykin and Viola Rimer Goff. He served in the United States Army and retired from DuPont. He was a lifelong member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a part of the Men’s Fellowship. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising live stock and farming. Surviving are his daughters, Gina Goff, of Faith, N.C. and Debra Smith of Elgin,; grandchildren, Andrew Smith (Lauren), and Daniel Smith; and a brother, James Clinton Goff (Vernice) of Elgin. He was predeceased by his wife, Pat Cupstid; and a son, Andrew Dave Goff, Jr. The family expresses appreciation to Dr. Baker and the staff of Rice Estate for their dedicated care and family assistance over the past several years. “Flash” will be missed by his family and many friends.
