LUGOFF – A memorial service for Richard Paul “Ricky” Taylor, 23, will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 4:00 pm at El-Bethel Faith Community Church. The Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House. Ricky died Saturday, March 17, 2012. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Richard Waitus Taylor and Kimberly Lynn Fincher Taylor. He was a senior at the University of South Carolina where he was to graduate in May of 2012 with Bachelors in Accounting. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha and Beta Alpha Psi fraternities at USC. Ricky graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School where he played football and soccer. He was an outdoorsman who loved sports. Surviving are his mother Kimberly Taylor of Monroe, N.C.; father, Richard Taylor of Lugoff; twin sister, Whitney Taylor of Monroe, N.C.; brother, John Taylor of Lugoff; paternal grandparents, Marlene Boulware of Lugoff; maternal grandparents, Paul and Sandy Fincher of Monroe, N.C.; aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. James Boulware Jr. of Lugoff, George Taylor of Columbia, Peggy Spires of Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Fincher of Wingate, N.C., and Paul Fincher Jr. of Huntersville, N.C.; and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, James Boulware Sr.
