ELGIN - Funeral service for John Richard “Johnny” Proctor, 64, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery, Camden. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church in the Garden or Hospice of Rock Hill. Mr. Proctor died Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Leonard and Ruby Cameron Proctor. He was a member of Church in the Garden in Camden where he served as a Deacon. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Barbara Newman Proctor; daughter Donna Sergent of Fort Mill; son, Allan Proctor of Fort Mill; grandchildren, Matt Decker, Justin Sergent, Ashley Proctor, Dakota Proctor, Montana Proctor, Bree Proctor, Jordan Proctor, and Savannah Proctor; brother, Leonard Proctor of Lugoff; and sister, Pansey Bell of Lugoff.
