COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Brenda Joyce Witt, 59, will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ken Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Witt died Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Jack Arthur and Mildred Ruth Roberts Turbyfill. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting and baking. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Ronald W. Witt Sr.; daughters, Patricia Osborne (Steve) of Elgin, and Sandy Cox (Kevin) of Gaston; son, Ronnie Witt Jr. (Miranda of Lexington; mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Jane Witt; 8 grandchildren, Brittany Witt, Tyler Witt, Reagan Sullivan, Kaitlin Osborne, Devin Witt, Kevin Cox Jr., Nick Witt, and Alyssa Cox; ; a great-grandson, Ayden Faile; brothers, Arthur Turbyfill (Linda) of Lugoff, Roy Turbyfill (Betty) of Elgin, David Turbyfill (Gail) of Elgin; sisters, Shirley Yon of Elgin, Lorraine Jeffcoat of Camden, Susan Turbyfill of Elgin, and Beverly Neeley (Roy) of Elgin.
