CAMDEN – Funeral service for Linda Joyce Horton, 64, will be held Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Refuge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tim Broughton will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Miss Horton died Monday, February 13, 2012. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Joseph and Louise Hearon Horton. She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church and enjoyed caring for children. Surviving are her sisters, Brenda Garland (Gene) of Cassatt and Barbara Horton (Donnie Tidwell) of Lugoff; brother, William “Joey” Horton of Camden; 4 nieces and nephews; and 5 great nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to MUSC of Charleston, Agape Hospice of Columbia, and Ralph Horton for their loving care of Linda.
