REMBERT – Funeral service for Isaiah Pollard “Ike” Council, 65, will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Freddie Thomas will officiate. Memorials may be made to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Council died Saturday, January 28, 2012. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Calvin Pollard Sr. and Alberta Council. He was a musician and played with The Original Drifters for over 30 years. Surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
