ELGIN – A graveside service for Petra Denise Boykin, 29, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Zion Episcopal Church Cemetery. The Rev. Susan Wight will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 7-9 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to a Hospice of one’s choice. Petra died Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of Janice Louise Yelton Emrich and the late Luther Preston Gambrell Jr. She served in the National Guard and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 11079, Elgin. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her mother, Janice Yelton Emrich (William Jay) of Elgin; children, Joseph Tyler Wright, Mackenzie, and Madison; sister, Sarah Grigsby (Chris) of Elgin; nieces and nephews, Chayce Grigsby, Savannah Grigsby, Caroline Grigsby, and Christopher Grigsby.
