LUGOFF – Funeral service for Carol Sinclair Price, 72, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Outreach Church with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Cameron and the Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Life Christian Outreach Building Fund or the American Cancer Society. Mr. Price died Friday, January 13, 2012. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late James Edward and Bernice Holland Price. He served in the United States National Guard. He retired from DuPont after 28 years and Dana Corporation after 12 years. He also drove cars for local dealerships. Mr. Price was a dedicated member of New Life Christian Outreach Church where he served as sound technician for over 28 years. He enjoyed cars and was an avid Gamecock fan Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Barbara Keenan Price; sons, Brian Price (Jennifer) of Lugoff, and James W. Barfield II (Christi) of Winter Haven, Fla.; daughter, Cynthia B. Langley (Hal) of Camden; sister, Joyce Branham of Columbia; grandchildren, Brianna N. Price, Mikayla Price, Katie McLemore, Daniel McLemore, Michael McLemore, Josh Barfield, and James Barfield III; and 4 great-grandchildren. The family expresses appreciation to the staff of KershawHealth Hospital and KershawHealth Hospice for their loving care.
