ELGIN – Funeral service for Bryan Wayne Walling, Jr., 16, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Robbie Shivar will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital at MUSC. Bryan died Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Born in Charleston, he was the son of Bryan Wayne Walling Sr. and Mary Carmichael Walling. He was a sophomore at Lugoff-Elgin High School. He enjoyed computers, video games and music. He attended North Columbia Baptist Church. Surviving are his parents of Elgin; sisters, Kelly Walling and Jennifer Walling, both of Elgin; brother, Joseph Walling of Elgin; paternal grandparents, E.T. and Ava Walling of Gaston, S.C.; aunts and uncles, Karen and David Fogle, and Kenny and Michelle Carmichael; cousins, George, Kevin and Stephen Fogle, Marie Carmichael, Kayla and Josh Warner, and Milly Warner. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Carmichael; and uncle, Eric. L. Walling.
