ELGIN – A memorial service for Arthur Carroll Webb Sr., 81, will be held Thursday December 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Dan Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Webb died Sunday, December 18, 2011. Born in Bowman, he was the son of the late J.T. and Juanita Young Webb. He served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired self employed painter and was a member of Spears Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching wrestling, reading and listening to gospel music. Surviving are his sons, Arthur C. Webb of Elgin and Michael Webb of Elgin; brothers, Donald Webb, Joe Webb, Jimmy Webb, and Wayne Webb; and a granddaughter, Madylin Gibbons.
