Obituary of Hunter Lee Hornsby
CAMDEN – Funeral service to remember the life of Hunter Lee Hornsby, 16, born in Camden on October 15, 1994, will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Charles Roark and Pastor Keith Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Hunter’s name to Camden Free Will Baptist Church, 1205 Gardner Street, Camden, S.C. 29020.
On Tuesday, October 11, 2011, Jesus called his little angel, Hunter Hornsby, home. Hunter passed away due to complications from cerebral palsy. Hunter fought a courageous battle for almost 17 years with the help of many prayers, his family, church family, doctors, teachers, therapist, hospice, friends, and strangers who reached out to him. Hunter will forever live in our hearts and we will miss him every day. We will always see his beautiful smile and cherish his humble spirit.
Hunter is survived by his parents, Paul and Tara Bostick of Camden; brother, Christian Zemp C.J. Ellis; sister, Audrianna Darnell Bostick; grandparents, James and Brenda Peters; uncle, Jim Peters; great-grandmother, Novella Catoe; He was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Ruby Peters Brown; and great-grandfathers, John W. Catoe, James Robert Peters, and Frank Brown.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care extended to Hunter by Pediatric Associates of Kershaw County and Kershaw Health Hospice.
